One Of The Easiest List Building & Traffic Generation Tools Available…

articles, marketing, marketing tips 3 Comments

Ebay may very well be one of the best list building and traffic generation tools available on the Internet.  So many marketers underestimate its potential and really drop the ball when it comes to incorporating it into their overall marketing strategy.  It is not just about selling old trinkets around the house and video games that you no longer play.  Ebay is a very powerful web site that can be used very effectively for market research, keyword research, lead generation, product sales and Internet traffic generation, all either for free or for significantly less than what you would pay from other sources.

One way to use Ebay is as a market research and keyword research tool. By simply creating a free account with them, you get the ability to search through all items that are available for sale.  By doing an “advanced search” you can do a search only for items in which the auction has already ended.  To do this, simply check off the option “completed items only.”

To do market research and keyword research on Ebay, simply do a search for all the completed items with some of the keywords in your target market.  This search will reveal to you what prospects are paying right now for items in your market as well as what keywords successful sellers are using to drive traffic to their auctions.  As you can probably imagine, this type of information is incredibly valuable to those who actually use such information to their advantage … which, by the way, is highly recommended.

Ebay can also be used for effective list building by making product sales. If you offer a low priced product (i.e. under $20) using their “Buy It Now” feature may very well work for you.  Even if you offer a higher priced product, you can still make money selling the product with their service.  However, you might be better off using their Classified Ads feature.  Please note that a new policy has come into effect that if you sell downloadable products online through Ebay, you MUST list that item as a classified ad.  Therefore, if you want to sell your downloadable products, make sure you either list it as a classified ad, or make it a physical product by putting it on a CD.

Ebay is also one of the most underutilized traffic generation web sites on the Internet today. Think about how much keywords in your target market go for on Google Adwords and Yahoo Sponsored Search.  By utilizing the power of Ebay to your advantage, you can generate targeted prospects for significantly less than what it would cost using a pay per click search engine.  For example, one common strategy for traffic generation is to offer a low cost downloadable report.  When your prospects purchase that report, you then send them to a download page where they download the report that they purchased and also provide them with an offer for the main product that you want to sell.

This is a great marketing strategy because you have already gotten the prospect to buy something from you. It is much easier to get a prospect that has already spent money with you to spend more money, than it is to get a prospect who has never spent money with you (and has joined your list for free) to spend money with you for the first time.  A certain percentage of prospects who buy your low cost report will also purchase your main item.  In addition, on your listing page, you can refer your prospects to check out your “About Me” page on Ebay.  On your About Me page, you can make an offer for anything you like, even a link to the main product you promote.

Keep in mind that Ebay is one of the HIGHEST visited web sites on the internet today boasting hundreds of millions of users from all across the world — ALL on that web site looking to BUY stuff.  Where else can you go to find a congregation of BUYERS for the products and services that you offer?  This is why if you are not using Ebay as part of your Internet marketing strategy, you need to strongly consider using it.

Website Traffic Generation Doesn’t Have To Be Difficult…

Analyzed Marketing Solutions, marketing 2 Comments

I know it has been a while since I’ve made a post, but I am sure that you will appreciate what I have been working on. It can help you drastically increase your website traffic and can even help you make some quick cash! Enjoy!

Numerous people agree that building consistent website traffic is a very tough task for any upcoming online website with a minimal or non-existent budget available. Building a website and setting it up is getting easier and easier all the time, but can the same be said for generating traffic? Does it really have to cost a fortune to succeed online?

What do you think? Is your website as successful as you think it should be? Do you generate an appropriate amount of visitors to your site every day? What Internet marketing techniques do you use?

I’m guessing that you would like your website to be better off. More website traffic is a good thing, after all.

More traffic = more sales = more profits… a great equation don’t you think?

There are literally millions upon millions of websites registered online that viewers can potentially visit. Unfortunately, many of these websites are created without any website traffic plan in place. A website can be created to look and sound absolutely stunning with eye-catching graphics, optimized sales copy, even embedded video, but without receiving website traffic the site is not going to succeed in any way, shape or form.

The sad reality is that a large majority of websites fail to succeed due to ONE BIG UGLY PROBLEM - a failure to generate consistent website traffic.

I am sure that if you have a website of your own that you do everything you can to attract visitors – well, I hope you do…or at least that you will now!

There are many Internet marketing techniques available to you - both free and paid - that can produce great amounts of highly targeted visitors to your website. The main issue though, is actually learning how to use the methods effectively in your marketing efforts. One such option that many website newbies seem to be attracted to is “guaranteed traffic”. I definitely DO NOT recommend this for any website owner, unless you are just looking at increasing your pagerank or Alexa rating with the purchased traffic. Definitely do not purchase such traffic if you are expecting to drastically increase your profits, as doing so is usually just a waste of your hard earned dough (that means money…as if you didn’t already know). If you have had good experiences with such a service though, I would be interested in hearing from you and I am sure many of my readers would be too!

One problem that many website owners run into is that they attempt to learn internet marketing techniques on their own - from scratch. This is just not a smart decision as you will be essentially teaching yourself methods through trial and error that others have already learned.

Don’t be hesitant to learn…it’s the way of business today…learning new things, implementing what you learned on your business, and generating a profit as a result!

Traffic generation isn’t something that you want to jump into without doing your research first. You should phase your actions and ease into the different marketing mediums one at a time. Don’t go playing ping-pong with marketing methods and jumping from one to another. The following example should demonstrate my point:

Let’s say that you have a website fully set up and ready to take orders automatically. All that is stopping you from reaching unheard of income levels is - here it comes again - WEBSITE TRAFFIC. You know that you need to attract visitors but don’t know the first place to begin in terms of effective Internet marketing techniques. You have heard good things about Google Adwords and how it can direct massive amounts of visitors to a site quickly so you decide to give it a shot. You jump right into action with Adwords and through trial and error, manage to get your campaign live. Your budget is set for $20 per day ($140 per full week). A few sales trickle in, but you are simply paying more than you are earning from the visitors. After only 3 weeks of trials you are forced to stop the campaign due to your poor performance and lost income.

Believe it or not, this happens to many website and small business owners every single day. They think they can survive on their own, only to find out after their loss of funds that they cannot remain profitable using such a method without the proper direction first.

You may then realize that Google Adwords and other similar services may not be the right fit for you at the current time so you begin to look for other ways to generate traffic. You may start to fiddle around with social networking sites such as Twitter, Digg, or Facebook, but without any direction you can easily find yourself meeting people who don’t have any interest in what your website provides (Obviously not good for sales). You can easily find yourself just wasting time on such sites without getting any results from your efforts. Your frustrations will continue to build and eventually you may decide to move on to yet another medium that provides potential, possibly traffic exchanges this time.

This ping-pong effect is not a good model to use for traffic generation efforts. The last thing you should do is jump from one method to another simply because you can’t figure out how to generate traffic with it. Learn how other people use it effectively and operate your actions in a similar fashion. You will then be on the verge of tasting success!

This is where my website traffic generation program comes into action for you…It helps you build consistent website traffic by teaching you low cost and 100% FREE Internet marketing techniques!

Instead of jumping into the many traffic generation methods available on your own, and making mistake after painstaking mistake, you are now able to learn what has worked for others in our website traffic generation program (proven methods) and implement those methods for yourself. What this should mean to you is that instead of all of the struggling you would otherwise have been going through by jumping from method to method, you will be able to actually get one method working for you effectively before you move on to another.

When you get to the point of receiving traffic to your site automatically…and if you stick with our program… you will start to see sales increasing along with your bottom line. If however, you are not in the online world to make a profit, you will have built yourself a very nice following of fresh eager to read viewers!

Can you honestly say “I’m getting more website visitors than I know what to do with?”

If not, you can potentially be screaming it soon! I’m going to explain exactly what you will learn to achieve with this exciting program!

If you recall, at the beginning of this post I said that I have been working on something very special and that you should appreciate it…well here it is!

Niche Marketing: A 4-Step System For Uncovering Hot Niche Markets

marketing No Comments

The following is a four-step system you can apply anytime you need to find a new niche audience to target and profit from.

1. Initial Brainstorming

This first step is best approached with a very open mind and a notebook and pen handy. The idea is to seek topics that are outside your current realm of knowledge. One of the best ways to do this is by reading blogs.

Bloggers come from every walk of life, and you will find blogs with information on almost any niche topic imaginable. Best of all, bloggers provide fresh, timely information.

Start spending some time reading some random blogs. A good starting place would be at blog directories such as Blogdex or Technorati. As you are reading, you’ll discover many different topics being discussed. Many of these you may have never heard of before. Start writing these down.

Example: You found yourself reading a blog post that described the blogger’s recent experience at a demolition derby. Maybe you don’t know much yourself about this niche, so you add “demolition derby” to your list.

2. Keyword Research

Once you have a list of several possible niches, the next step is to find out what keywords and keyword phrases people are using to search for this and related information via the major search engines. Good Keywords is a free Windows software you can download that will help you do just this. With this program, you can type-in a topic from your list and the software will begin to uncover many related keyword phrases being actively searched for.

It takes time to get the hang of this software, but once you master it you will be able to generate large and valuable keyword lists. After you uncover at least a few dozen related keyword phrases, save your list and move onto the next step. If you are not able to uncover many related keyword phrases, chances are there is not much potential here and you should start over with another topic from step one.

Example: Using Good Keywords or a similar tool, you enter the term “demolition derby”. You soon have a large list of related keyword phrases people have been using to search for information on this topic, such as “demolition derby video” and “demolition derby car for sale”.

3. Secondary Idea Creation

Read through the keyword list you generated. Some of your keyword phrases are going to give you ideas for other target audiences you may want to explore in the future. Take some time now to write these new ideas down while they are still fresh in your mind. Save this information for later reference. You can never have enough fresh ideas to explore when trying to uncover under-exploited niche markets.

Example: One of the keyword phrases in your “demolition derby” list was “demolition derby game online” - you note that later you should explore what other types of online games people are searching for.

4. Niche Potential Analysis

If you used Good Keywords to mine for keyword phrases, you will have also been provided with an approximate number of times each of these terms was searched for during the past month. The next thing you need to do is compare this number, representing potential search engine traffic, with the number of websites already catering directly to these searches.

To do this, start by taking your keyword phrases and do an exact phrases search on each of them at Google, making certain to surround your keyword phrase in quotes. Write down the number of results google brings back for your search. Next, compare the number of monthly searches for each phrase to the number of Google results.

If you are lucky, you will discover that some of your keyword phrases with good monthly traffic don’t have many results in the search engines yet. If you find that you have uncovered a niche that has several keyword phrases with a high number of monthly searches and at least a few of them have a low number of results in Google, chances are you have found a very good niche to exploit with your next online project. If not, go back to the list you created in step one and repeat the process.

Example: You discover that the phrase “demolition derby car for sale” is searched for around 700 times monthly, but brings back only 486 results in Google and the term “demoliton derby pic” receives several hundred searches a month but only returns 258 results in Google. You are very happy to have discovered a potentially hot niche with good under-exploited keyword phrases to target.

Although there are several costly and difficult to master programs available that can help you discover unique target markets, the system above has proven to be an effective free method for uncovering niches to profit from. Apply it today and be on your way to niche marketing success.
