Curling and other events are good for business promotion and marketing too!
If you have a website or business of your own then you should always be trying to build up awareness for your venture in terms of business promotion and marketing solutions. There are many ways to accomplish this, and last weekend I ran into a great example that I thought I would pass on to my readers.
As you may already know, I am Canadian. I play a variety of sports and am quite decent at most of them. I see myself as being a natural athelete and try to get into sports when I can. Just last weekend I was in a Curling bonspiel. For those of you who don’t know, a curling bonspiel is just like a tournament just with a different name. I have actually curled for most of my life so am relativeley good. My team ended up winning the bonspiel but that’s besides the point. What I wanted to let you know was that when I first got to the bonspiel and they were doing the opening announcements they went through the list of sponsors that were sponsoring the event. They also had signs up in the building itself promoting the businesses that sponsored the event.
This really got me thinking because many people struggle to get their business recognized. However, if you are just creative you can easily find places to get your presesnce out there such as event marketing. For example: look around your community for events that are going on (similar to the curling bonspiel I was in). You can then approach the organizers of the event and either offer your assistance in exchange for some free advertising for your business or you can even help sponsor the event. In my opinion it doesn’t even matter if your business is solely online or not either because you can easily get your website address out there so people will be able to remember it when they need something related to what you offer. Talk about creative marketing solutions eh!
I threw the “eh” in on purpose, just because i am Canadian and many people associate Canadians with the word. I don’t say it very much myself but put it in more for some comedic relief!
As i mentioned, getting your business presence in front of individuals should not be too difficult to do…especially if you are serious about your business. Just be creative with your marketing solutions and before long you can have a constant flow of visitors to your business or website and those people may recommend your business/website to others so you will just grow virally in nature!
To Your Success!
